Well, as anyone visiting my website can see, I am not much of a blogger. I love the art side of my business (photographing and editing) so much that I can rarely pull myself in here to share that joy in words and pictures with all of you. I will keep trying to do better! At the moment, I have an entire Summer of goings on to catch all of you up on. So much so, that I decided to use this weeks Project 52 Theme of “Photographer’s Choice” to do just that.
To begin with, I created a model call at Summer’s start to help me bring in some new studio products I was interested in. I wanted some new faces. What better dog to reach than DOODLES! They are very popular family dogs these days and I felt it was a great choice to incorporate into my products. I ended up working with SIX wonderful Doodles of all shapes, sizes, and ages. I fell in love with them all. From left to right on each frame: Masha, Billie, Ellie, Buggie, Mila, and River.
The products their sweet faces went into was a new, smaller album meant to accommodate those who book my Pocket sessions in addition to a fabulous custom made folio box for 5×7 or 8×10 prints! I am wild about both!
On the heels of working with my doodle models, I found myself working with another doodle gentleman, Jack! His mom purchased my gift certificate outright at the Ronald McDonald House of Charities Polo Classic benefit. He is a 9 year old distinguished, polite, and gentle dog. A pleasure to work with.
I had a couple of other sessions through the Summer for two local businesses that I will have to share at another time. In the meantime, please continue the blog circle by heading to Kim with BARKography during a travel photography session in Greenville SC.
All these are beautiful photos. I too can relate to your blogging comment. I want to do better too!
Thank you Kim! I like our Project 52 group for the encouragement to do more blogging. I haven’t been regular with the group but it is a big reason for helping me to actually write.
It must be doodle week on the blog! I chose the same for this week’s post.
I do have to say I love your product photos! They look stunning and I am particularly intrigued by that small album.
Thanks Jessica! It all turned out better than I imagined. These newest product additions are already popular. I keep looking at the folio box, myself. It is my favorite.
Gorgeous lighting and those flowers…to die for! Beautiful images to be proud of and I’m sure the client loved.
Thank you Tracy! The parks department here does a fabulous job at our historic Manito Park with all kinds of flowers. I prefer the perennial garden and take a lot of photos around those flowers.
Lovely pictures of lovely dogs. I like the products too. Always interesting to see what is on offer elsewhere🙂.
